The Legend of Dragoon

Every attack in The Legend of Dragoon is an Addition: a string of hits you extend by pressing the button in time with each strike, and party members can transform into armoured Dragoons mid-battle. Sony's own studio built it as a big in-house RPG, following Dart across a war-torn continent. It ships on 4 discs: put them in an .m3u playlist so ArmSX1 lists it as one game and can swap discs with a hotkey.
